MBA specialization options

Students wishing to specialize in either Finance or Health Systems Leadership complete four courses (12 credit hours) of the MBA’s five elective courses in their specialization track.

Finance Specialization

This specialization is built for professionals who want to deepen their business knowledge and plan to work in the finance sector or in a finance-focused role. The MBA Finance Specialization offers advanced finance electives on topics including bank management, real estate finance and investments, international financial management plus quantitative classes. In addition to the finance specialization, students may complete courses in widely accepted statistical software [e.g. R, Python, and SQL] within the Online MBA electives.

Health Systems Leadership Specialization

The Health Systems Leadership Specialization provides a unique curriculum combining health care and business curriculum to prepare students for leadership, administrative and executive roles across complex health systems. Courses cover topics including quality improvement in health care, workforce solutions, health care informatics and health care advocacy. Students pursuing this specialization can develop skills in strategic planning, change management, clinical operations and more.

When you earn your MBA online at Marquette, you could make a professional impact sooner than you think.

If you have a background in business from your undergraduate studies—whether in the form of a bachelor’s degree in business or through successful completion of coursework in accounting, finance, marketing and other core business subjects—you could be eligible to accelerate your time to degree and save on the total cost of tuition for a Marquette online MBA.

The Marquette MBA requires the completion of 42 credit hours, with 27 hours devoted to core courses and 15 hours of electives. However, you may qualify for up to 10.5 hours of core credit for your undergraduate business courses. Additionally, your previous education may enable you to receive a GMAT/GRE waiver.
