Learning that fits your life

Asynchronous learning designed for working professionals

The online MBA program is primarily asynchronous, meaning you're not required to be online at the same time as other students or instructors. While your courses will have occasional synchronous sessions and specific deadlines for assignments and discussions, you can complete most of your work when it's most convenient for you—whether that's early mornings, lunch breaks, evenings or weekends.

Structured progress with peer interaction

Though flexible, Marquette’s online MBA courses are not self-paced. You'll move through each course alongside your classmates, meeting required deadlines and participating in discussions. This cohort approach creates a sense of community and accountability while still accommodating diverse schedules.

Time commitment and course load

The weekly time commitment will vary based on course assignments and readings. Generally, you can expect to spend about 3-4 hours per week for each credit in which you're enrolled. A typical student aiming to complete the MBA program in two years will take 6-7 credits (2-3 courses) each semester for about 18-28 hours a week.
